Beltaine is a celebration of fertility honoring the sacredness of the Earth! It is one of the eight holidays that make up the Pagan Wheel of the Year; which focuses on the Earth's Solstices, Equinoxes, and cross-quarter holiday. It is a cross-quarter holiday, located directly between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. Like Halloween, it is a time in which the Veil between the Worlds is at its thinnest. However, where Halloween is most directly connected with the Realm of the Dead, at Beltaine the thinness of the Veil is focused on the Elemental Realm, and the Fairy Folk.
