THE STAR RADIATES

Updated: Dec 20, 2021

'Wish I may, Wish I might Have the wish I wish tonight!'

The Star is a card of hope, filled with the endless possibilities of bounty. It radiates into the darkness that good times do exist and fills us with dreams and aspirations. It is bountiful and beautiful, heralding opportunity! It's the light at the end of the tunnel, the hallmark that better times are on the horizon, showing us that good times are upon us. The Star speaks of joy, love, and celebration, and how deserving we are of such! The blessings of The Star are not stumbled upon by sheer luck, but are instead offered to us because we deserve such blessings!

The Star dynamic! The happiness it speaks of is not the simple joy of a good cup of coffee or time spent with close friends. It is the kind of happiness that radiates from us like an aura of joy, affecting all we come in contact with. The light of the star inspires, allowing the dreams we focus on to be illuminated with the love we have for them. When The Star comes into our life we feel infused with purpose, as if the universe is shining a spotlight on the dreams we aspire to!

The Star is a card that speaks of bringing the light of the celestial sun within us. In most cards, a woman is connected to both water and earth, showing that she is both grounded and fluid; capable of making wise thoughts decisions, while simultaneously allowing the wisdom of the heavens to flow through her consciousness. In the Starman Tarot (inspired by David Bowie) the card depicts the awakened human whose energetic body is awake and online, meaning the querent (person being read) is utilizing both their practical mind and their higher consciousness. It also makes reference to having an awakened Kundalini, in which the person's chakra system is activated; something that requires us to have done the work and cleaned up our old wounds and scars that hold us back from our true potential. This does not mean all who receive the card will be fully healed and ready to take on the world, it simply shows that when The Star arrives in our life we have made progress in cleaning out the wounding that holds us back, and that our healing has led us to a place in which we can access our potential!

When The Star shows up for us in a reading it is a reflection of who we are in the moment; showing that we are the Star! It is our time to shine, and that the light we radiate through our aura shines outward for all to see. This is a hard card to feel humble around, as it shows us how fabulous we really are, and how our happiness and beauty affect those around us. The Star is not selfish, it shines its life for all to see, it pours abundance on the land and water, offering both stability and expansiveness. It is a time to grow and shine, and it is a time in which one's actions will have an effect on the world around them.

The Star is a deeply personal card that ushers in opportunity and bounty, but it is also a card of responsibility and influence, for when we shine so brightly we can not help but have an effect on those around us. Such change in self often comes about after deep soul work, and healing of our personal story, with The Star being the reward for such dedication to healing. Metaphysically speaking, when we heal ourselves we do radiate more, our energetic body (the aura/biofield) gives off more light.

If The Star has come into your life know that you have earned it! Know that it is now time for you to shine like the star that you are. Do not make yourself small for other people's comfort, instead be as beautiful, shiny, and magnificent as you were meant to be. I will leave you with the words of Marianne Williamson that have inspired me for years...

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children we do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us' it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
